Finding Names for Your Molly Fish

You should name your molly fish something similar to it’s personality. Here is a list of funny fish names to help you think of ideas. Hopefully this is of some help to you and thanks for the good question.

names for molly fish

When I was a little kid I had a pet goldfish named Goldie but I know this is in the same type of fish that you have. I like the idea of having one that starts with the letter M.

I think you should take a deep look at your fish and try to think of a quirky name that has to go along with a movie like on liar liar. Find two different fish that are kind of similar and give them two names from a movie that’s really funny that everybody knows. I’ve had a super good luck going this route and when people come over I tell them the name and they’ll laugh very hard.

Are used to keep these fish a couple years ago and I had around 10 of them but they all seem to die off. I don’t know what it is with Molly fish but they can never stay alive in my tanks. I’ve had really good with guppy fish but for some reason the mollies just do not make it.

I would imagine that it would be tough to need 10 different fish and try to remember each of their individual names. That’s why I never took the time to name these type of fish because they have so many of them in a tank in it becomes tough.

I agree I have like 300 of these in a tank with a bunch of babies and I don’t plan on doing that to this many fish.

Tank of Death. We have been in the process of putting my 4 year old a tank together for months. I’ve had 6 tetras (3 lamp eyes and 3 red minor) in a 5.5g quarantine for about 2 weeks. We set up his 20 gallon tank, treated with prime, added cycled filter media, but are dealing with die offs. On the first day We added the 6 quarantined fish to water (after acclimating;even with addition of previous tanks water). We added 10 neons the next day. By the next morning all 10 neons were dead. Since then all but maybe 2 of previously quarantined fish are dead. Here’s some info. My other tank is great. Same water source and fish purchased from same store/same time thriving. plz send help.

Parameters:

Ph 7.4

ammonia 0,nowstarting to have green tinge on 3rd day

nitrite 0

nitrate 0

Temp 72

Equipment/Stuff:

-20 gallon long

-Medium sponge filter from Aquarium Coop

-Bag of cycled media from 2 different tanks

-bag of psychedelic gravel (washed thoroughly)

– Aqueon 50w heater

– tetra 40g pump split between filter and airstone under train

-two tacky ornaments picked out by toddler

-ceramic train ornament made by me. Aquarium safe materials.

-silk plants that had been in a previous tank.

IMHO: Your son’s tank is not cycled. You need to see nitrates (no ammonia and no nitrites) to know your tank can process the waste. Also, I would recommend adding fish very slowly in a new tank, so the BB can multiply quickly enough to keep up with the new additions.

Hello everyone! I was looking for some input on lighting as I am trying to make my dwarf hairgrass carpet. I have a 55gal with four 17in MarineLand Hidden LED Strip lights, is this sufficient enough? Vidoe added to see the area that it will hopfully carpet over. Gravel lining the edges with sand inside and the grass is placed in the gravel. I am not actually picky on where it will carpet, just wanting that lush carpet in some areas of my tank!

maybe some root tabs around them to help kick them off?

I also attempting to carpet with hair grass, LED strip as well. fluval stratum substrate and doesing with flourish excel.

(also love the kuhli loach playing in the bubbles mine do that sometimes).

Got a new mixed fruit tetra yesterday and it seems to be idk following my fancy swordtail female around. Is the Tetra showing his dominance. It used to be the male swordtail who ruled the roost. Does it look like aggression? Any advice or comments would be helpful.
