Posted by Jeff B: You have never heard of Palmer Aquatics YouTube channel?!? His videos are all over the place and he is a cool guy. Does lots of how to videos and live-streams. He’s also building a fish store onto his house which is pretty interesting. Here is a link to his channel:

@Reply: Some people don’t like Chris because he does a lot of rants and speaking his mind.. but I love his channel. He mainly talks about predator fish.

Question: Can anyone help me to ID this flatworm in my shrimp tank? For the first time, I saw a few sliding around the glass and removed approximately 10 worms. They have a round head, brown-ish body with some lighter colored markings and appear to be more active when the lights are off. I’m trying to determine whether these worms are harmful (don’t think they’re planaria because they do not have a triangular head).

@Reply: OMG!!! I’ve been panicking over “planaria” for a week but it’s actually these guys!! thank you so much, now i can stop freaking out about my shrimplets.

@Reply: how can I tell the difference between planaria with a rounde head and these worms? Should i just play it safe and treat my tank.

@Reply: It’s impractical, ineffective compared to pelletized activated carbon, ugly (who would want to look at a scared tank that has a big black block in the tank), ocverprized for what it’s worth, and made by a new Chinese company (you know what Chinese products are like and their bad reputation). And they just stole clips of famous aquarium youtubers without consent to convince people that their product is good.

@Reply: Its just a cube of carbon. It doesnt remove nitrate, it just makes the water look clear. You still need to do water changes with carbon.

@Reply: I have a question, so why breed my bettas for the first time and the eggs have been there for about 2 and half days, water temperature at 82 degrees Fahrenheit. Are they supposed to look like this or are they no good anymore? Any tips would help for next time! Thank you
